At LIOS our motto is to ‘Ride in Style’ and our priority is to serve our customers with quality. For this reason, we offer a rider-friendly warranty in line with the major big-named bike brands in order to provide peace of mind.

We offer a lifetime warranty to the original owner against structural defects in material or workmanship on all LIOS frames, forks and carbon rims. The warranty coverage on all name brand bicycle components (excluding tyres, tubes and cables) will be covered by the warranty stated by their original manufacturers. The Warranty applies only to the original owner and does not transfer to subsequent owners.

No-Fault Replacement

In the event of a non-warranty situation, LIOS will make replacement parts available to the original owner at a reduced charge for the applicable warranty period described above.

This Warranty Does NOT Cover

The sole remedy available under the foregoing express warranty and all implied warranties is the repair or replacement of defective parts with those of equal or greater value, as determined by LIOS Bikes in its sole discretion. The warranty does not cover labor costs, custom finishes, normal wear and tear, or damage from commercial use.

Any damage, failure or loss caused by abuse neglect, improper repair, improper maintenance, alteration, modification, failure to follow instructions or warnings, an accident or other abnormal, excessive, or improper use, or in any other manner for which the bicycle was not intended. Cost of shipment to and from LIOS Bikes’ premises are specifically excluded and are not covered by this Warranty.

Assembly and adjustment of the frame set and components must be completed by either a LIOS Bikes’ technician or a bike technician specifically authorised by LIOS Bikes. Frame sets and/or bicycles not assembled or adjusted by an authorised LIOS Bikes’ technician are not covered and excluded from this Warranty.

Useful Product Life Cycle

As with all frame sets, every LIOS frame set has a useful lifecycle. This useful lifecycle is not the same as the Warranty period. This Warranty is not meant to suggest or imply that the frame cannot be broken or will last forever. The length of the useful lifecycle will depend on the type of frame, the riding conditions and the care that the bicycle received.

Competition, jumping, downhill racing, trick riding, trail riding, riding in severe conditions or climates or any ‘non standard’ use can severely shorten the lifecycle of a LIOS frame set. Any one of these or a combination may result in the failure of a frame set and is not covered by the Warranty.

All LIOS Bikes’ frame sets should be periodically checked by either an authorised LIOS Bikes’ technician or a LIOS approved technician, with at least Cytech Level 2 qualifications, for indications of potential failures including cracks, corrosion, dents, deformation, paint dis-colouring or peeling and any other indication of potential problems, inappropriate use or abuse. These are important safety checks and important to help prevent accidents, bodily injury to the rider and shortened useful product lifecycle of a LIOS frame set.

Limitations

There are no warranties that extend beyond the description on the face of this Limited Warranty, and any other warranties, express or implied including, but not limited to, any warranties or merchantability and/or fitness for a particular purpose, are expressly excluded by the terms of this Limited Warranty.

LIOS Bikes shall in no event be liable for incidental of consequential losses, damages or expense in connection with its bicycle products. LIOS Bikes’ liability is hereunder expressly limited to the replacements of goods not complying with this Warranty or, at LIOS Bikes’ election, to the replacement of an amount equal to the purchase price of the product in question. Some authorities do not permit the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or consequential damages, so the preceding limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

Procedures

For any Warranty claim to be considered, the bicycle/frame set/wheel must be returned to LIOS Bikes' premises in assembled condition accompanied by the original, dated sales' receipt for the item. Please make sure you keep your receipt in a safe place.

Warranty service will be performed by a LIOS Bikes' technician. Proof of purchase must be provided. Transport to and from LIOS Bikes' premises is the responsibility of the purchaser.

LIOS Bikes will have the option to either repair or replace the defective product. In the event that LIOS Bikes elects to replace a defective product, a new product of equal or greater value will be provided. The new product may not be the exact model purchased.

If you elect to repair a defective product yourself or use the service of someone other than a LIOS Bikes' authorised technician, or if you use a replacement part not supplied by LIOS Bikes, we will not be liable for any damage, failure of loss caused by the use of such unauthorised service or parts.
